zochess analysis privacy policy

01 Information we collect

• Account — your email address and username, or the account identifier and email address that Apple or Google gives us if you sign in with them. Analysis uses the same zochess account as zochess play.
• Game accounts you connect — your chess.com, lichess or zochess username, and the public games fetched for it so they can be analysed. We check that the account is yours before syncing.
• Feedback — if you send feedback from the app, we receive your message and category, with the app version and platform.
• Technical — your IP address, and the device name and app version, which are kept with your login sessions for security and so you can recognise your devices.
• Product analytics — cookie-free usage events, as described in the Privacy Policy. They never contain your games, moves, or messages.

02 How we use it

• To sign you in and keep your account secure.
• To fetch and analyse the games of the accounts you connect, and show your game library.
• To read and answer your feedback, and to understand which features are used.

03 Who else is involved

We do not sell your personal information. Apple and Google confirm your identity when you use them to sign in. When you connect a chess.com or lichess account, the app requests that account's public games from chess.com or lichess, which are subject to their own privacy policies.

04 Your choices

• You can disconnect a game account at any time from the app.
• You can change your email or password, and delete your account, from the account settings in the app. Deleting your account removes your profile and connected accounts.
• To ask for a copy of your data, or anything else about privacy, email contact@zochess.com.

05 Changes

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date above.
